At Benthic Studio, we believe great design starts below the surface. Our name comes from the benthic zone of the ocean – the deep, rich layer where life quietly thrives. Just like those unseen depths, we believe in building brands with intention, meaning, and soul.
Inspired by the ocean's rhythm, resilience, and vast creativity, our work is guided by flow, storytelling, and thoughtful artistry. Based in sunny San Diego, California, we collaborate with clients nationwide (and beyond), creating brands that are both visually stunning and deeply strategic.

Hi, I’m Irlanda, founder of Benthic Studio, lifelong artist, and designer with a deep love for culture, storytelling, and the creative process.
With over a decade of experience working across B2B and SaaS industries, I bring a sharp eye for systems, clarity, and design that communicates. My background blends brand identity, illustration, and web design, with a passion for supporting mission-driven businesses and founders of color.
